LUXEMBOURG/ SINGAPORE, 17 December 2024 — Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is pleased to announce that its Nordea 1 – Global Impact Fund has been awarded Fund of the Year in the listed equity category at the 2024 IMPACT Awards by Environmental Finance.

The annual Environmental Finance IMPACT Awards celebrate the work of impact investors worldwide, spotlighting the best practices across various asset classes and geographies. Judges were particularly impressed with NAM’s comprehensive impact reporting, including the use of relevant impact indicators. One judge remarked, “It is very interesting to have impact integrated into the valuation models”.

Nordea’s Global Impact Strategy, with about €1.9bn in AUM1, targets three key themes: Resilient Economy, Livable Planet and Strong Communities. This long-term, multi-thematic strategy provides diversified exposure to the secular trends shaping the global economy and is classified as an “Article 9” fund under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

Nordea 1 – Global Impact Fund is managed by Thomas Sørensen and Henning Padberg, who began their responsible investment journey back in 2008 with the launch of the renowned Nordea 1 – Global Climate and Environment Fund, one the largest actively managed Article 9 funds in Europe. 2 In 2021, NAM launched the Nordea 1 – Global Impact Fund, 3 managed by the duo and supported by Solène Eveillard, a dedicated lead impact analyst, as well as NAM’s Responsible Investments Team, one of the most established in Europe.
